Jam results: 5th place! Working on a post-jam version!

Hello!

Just wanted to share this late announcement to celebrate getting 5th place on Minijam #144 with my game Nightmare Climb!

I got pretty good rankings considering the state of the game for the jam. Once again, I got less time than I expected to work on the game during the event, so the original game idea wasn't developed as fully as I wanted. On the other side, I can tell that some of the experience gained from participating in Ludum Dare helped me actually finish a playable game in the little time I had, so I am happy seeing some progress being made :).

Post-jam

I will be releasing a post-jam version soon that incorporates feedback received during the jam and extends the concept a little bit more.
Here you can see a preview of the golem's new rage mode, a new feature that will be added:

Rage mode will be triggered after the golem misses the player a certain amount of times. The amount of misses is determined semi-randomly using certain conditions to keep the player on their toes. It will be signaled by a sound and visual cue so the player knows when it's happening.
Upon triggering, the golem will try to slam the player a fixed amount of times at a faster pace, doing a final slam with both hands (which can be arranged in different configurations). The golem's hands are also now solid, becoming a new obstacle for the player while they are on the ground.

Thank you for reading!
