Yarn Snap!
You are a cat playing with your new hanging yarn ball when suddenly, it snaps! Not wanting to let it get dirty, you will do everything in your power to keep it in the air as long as you can. But you still have to do the important missions any normal cat does at the same time!
Use your swift reflexes to help you keep shredding a clean yarn ball!
This game was developed as part of the Godot Wild Jam #63 with the theme CATS !.

Important notes about the web version on lower spec systems
- Game may take a while to load the first time because of shader caching.
- A little lag may be felt on mouse movement too.
- I recommend playing a downloaded version for the best experience.
This is my first time exporting to Mac and Linux and I do not have a way to ensure they work, would really appreciate anyone telling me if they do.

Cheat codes that change some gameplay elements (see below).
Assisted Swipe Mode
Yarn Snap! is intended to be a reaction and reflex game that tests the user's hand-eye coordination. As such, left-clicking, the default control bind for swiping, is required to be performed multiple times during a play session. This may be straining to some players' hands. If that is your case, you may want to try to change the key-bind for the swiping action to a more comfortable button for you. If that is not a solution for you, you may want to try Assisted Swipe Mode.
With Assisted Swipe Mode activated, your paw will automatically swipe whenever it detects something swipe-able underneath. This doesn't negate normal swiping, so you can still press your chosen swipe key to swipe manually. This means you can play the game using only mouse movement and a single button for reflex mode toggle. I hope that this solution helps you enjoy Yarn Snap!
Cheat codes
Yarn Snap! includes 5 cheat codes that modify the game in one way or another. To use them, during a game, press enter to open the pause menu. Using your keyboard, type the cheat code you want to activate from the next table. If everything went right, you should see the name of the cheat pop out of the bottom right corner of the window.

Thank you for playing! The background walls layout is actually traced from a Rugrats drawing by Dave CaveDraws. So you got that right!
We grew up watching Rugrats so happy to know my random guess about the background was right.
